I'm glad to join Jake and play in your league.

I'm sure this is naive of me, but I'd like you to educate me...Doesn't the obviously wide disparity in the Games Back in our League Standings cause some owners to give up in the second half? Is there much turn over between seasons, especially since this is a large keeper dynasty league?

Wouldn't the picture be the same, but less disconcerting if a win was winning one week, instead of all the points you've scored to date? The equivalent in The Show would be to base the standings on total Runs Scored v Total Runs Against, rather than games won and lost.

Fair question, and I think it's good for "new blood" to question stuff we've been doing. My thought on this:

I don't think it would make that much of a difference in the end. It might LOOK closer, but if you're 5 games back with 4 to go, it's no different than being down 20 games (i.e. 5 cats/week left, in effect).

The good thing about the current set up, is you're forced to think about every category every week. Even if your team's having a bad week, you can still mitigate the damage by losing 4-6-2 rather than 2-10.
