5th in Roto standings and don't make our playoffs....feeling next year may be my year!

yea, feel similar about mine ..your offense was huge.. i'd love if someone could double check all this for me, it took a decent chunk of time though

Why did you waste your time on this? One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. I manage my team for the given week. Some weeks I'm out of it in SB, so I sit those guys. Some weeks, I'm out of it in Saves, so I sit those guys and vice versa. While mildly interesting, this is a pointless exercise.

But, feel better about yourselves guys. You'll get there eventually.....

If you're talking about me, I don't give a shit. I've done this myself in the past (it's pretty easy to do - you take team totals from Fantasy stats, and use excel to order each of the categories. It's not like its that hard. I think it took me about a half hour a couple years ago when I did it. If I really cared, it probably would have taken the same amount of time to do it in Access, and then I could have done every year at any point I wanted to.). Obviously, there is a corralation b/w the 2 (i.e. you're not going to end up 20th and make the playoffs), but only to a point. As you've shown - 4th don't mean a whole lot more than 10th. So, what's the point?

If you have done it before and it easy to do why are you blasting jake (or jeff) for doing it?

Three reasons - 1 he made it sound like a huge endeavor, 2 I did it like the first year and realized what a waste of time it was and 3 he's trying to draw (erroneous) conclusions from it

nah i'm not.. i fully understand that if we were actually playing roto the standings would've came out differently because a few people wouldve adjusted their rosters accordingly.... at the same time, if you look at the H2h standings as they are, you can draw erroneous conclusions from them too. not everyone has the same strength of schedule, or the same division, not everyone has their better weeks vs the right opponents, and their lesser weeks vs the right opponents..stuff like that.. i think reality lies SOMEWHERE between the 2 sets of standings
