This will be a special vote from the commishes if seconded by a non-commish.
It’s been brought to our attention that league rules for amendments and league voting was not followed for the the decision to move our League Communication tool from the Forum to Slack. This is true, we deemed it a grey-area that from your survey responses in November and one on one conversations that the Forum life expectancy had run its course. That we needed to find another, improved platform. It’s a fine line what us commishes do.. this was not doing away with a league category or a rule change. Our decision to move to Slack without a vote was done based off feedback in the survey and our (Jammy, JG, and myself) collective goal to always do what’s best for the league.
Never the less, we want to do things the right way and if someone feels strongly that we did not then we’ll make it right. So we’ll be holding a special vote here at the forum.
My proposal:
Move the League Communication platform to Slack immediately. This includes League Amendment (outside this vote), MiLB Draft, League Headquarters (Rules and Calendar), MiLB Bidding, etc. It will be required that ALL owners use Slack as there will be no ability to participate in important league functions outside Fantrax without it. The Forum will be sunset as an Archive-Only, for historical purposes.
Status Quo:
Keep using the Forum as the only League Communication platform. League Amendment voting, MiLB Draft, League Rules & Calendar, MiLB Bidding would all remain as-is.
This is now up to be seconded and if seconded by a non-commish will immediately be posted for a 7 day voting period where a majority of votes made will be needed to pass.
