| I propose we add a supplemental round between rounds 1 and 2, as well as 2 and 3 for New Owners taking over teams for the first year. I'd also like to suggest after round 3, they each get to pick until they complete as much of their minor league rosters as they wish.
This is something that I believe would give them a chance to catch up to the rest of the league with prospects, or at least the prospects they'd like. If nothing else, I think they should be given like $5 bid cash.
Thoughts? | |

| I could go for this, most of the time their teams usually are awful which is why they were abandoned, so a new owner coming in and getting a couple of extra draft picks for the first year isn't going to do too much harm. (Might also aide if their prior owner had traded away their first or second rounder from that year too.) | |

| I like this as well. Though I think a cap needs to be set on end of draft picking. Say 3 choices at end, if they want that. I also don't believe they should be able to trade these selections. We're giving them the selections so they have to rebuild their farms...
Something like
1A 1B 2A 2B 3A 3B 3A 3B 3A 3B
That'd be an extra five picks on top of what else they have. It'd go a long way toward rebuilding their farms.

| I'd be fine with either approach, but I really feel it should be unlimited to let them complete their roster. I mean, we're still going through 60 picks and already have complete milb rosters, so I feel like it's such a small amount of leverage for us current owners to give up, that we should allow them to just complete their rosters... I can't imagine it being more than another couple of picks anyway.
I'd also suggest we go: 1A 1B 2B 2A 3A 3B 3B 3A

| I like Thom/Moon Dog's idea of filling their FARM rosters. We want new owners to stay after they learn how we do things instead of quitting after a season or 2 when they're pretty far along the learning curve, but still don't have enough hope of becoming competitive. |

| Give them an extra $10 dollars in MiLB cash then so they have leverage there, besides most owners don't use their own cash right now rather than unlimited picks. | |

| That's why I suggest picks. The bid cash is underutilized anyway, and then we're just forcing them to compete with the other owners later... I'm not even opposed to giving both, but if we're doing one, I really think picks are the way to go. | |

I meant rather unlimited 3rd picks at the end of the draft.

| I'm fine with all this, but those picks should not be tradeable. They should be use it or lose it, especially if you add the addendum that they can fill out their rosters at the end. | |

| I totally agree Jam. Picks shouldn't be tradeable.. Also I think it should be limited to 6 overall supplemental selections. | |
