Hopefully well after football season. I'd like to once many of the publications come out. It's only 3 rounds if I remember.

Can we set a date for this? Just to know when to be ready to rock and roll with the #1 overall pick and to research etc.

It's way too early..Besides we are only doing a three round draft..I'd like to wait till we get closer to spring training, so we can get the hype machine going plus, we can start to see how things are unfolding as far as prospects and hot stove signings/trades playing out..

I think around the start of February or after the Super Bowl would be a good time. Baseball America's top 10 lists will be done by then for all you lazy SOB's, and who knows when Goldstein will be done...he's lazy. All the big moves will be over by then anyway, or should be. Any involving prospects at that point would be pretty minor. Either way, I'm not saying lets set the date for tomorrow, but set the date for whenever it's going to be so it doesn't sneak up on us.

I vote for the end of Feb. That's when we held it last year and finished 5 rounds in plenty of time. It only took us a week and a half to get through three of the rounds last year.

I guess, it just seems lazy to not be able to start earlier. There's no more major moves to be done for February. I guess the middle of it would be a good compromise. I'd like to know how the draft shakes out and that spawns trades. Would be beneficial to see those results as early as possible so we can adjust our rosters for opening night.

I'd love to draft as soon as possible but there is an issue or two. "Seventh Inning Stretch" said in the league thread on Rotoworld that he will not be able to return to the league. He may or may not be alone. I imagine it's preferable to find new GMs before the MiLB draft date, & that may not be so easy in these still rough economic times.

Plus we'll need an updated listing of all already owned MiLB players.

Not to nitpick guys, but wouldn't I have the 17th pick? I ended up losing in the third place game???

Yeah, right now we have atleast one, possibly 2 openings. Need to figure out who is and who isn't coming back soon. I think Luis sent out an email before, but I'm not sure it got to everyone or not.

Are we only holding a one round draft. Also, we did it in the other league I'm in but we are dropping players we don't want and then drafting at the end accordingly to open spots. Wasn't sure if that had been discussed yet.

No, the draft is three rounds, Bryan was just bored and decided to post the current first round order at the time, it wasn't official. In addition, roster cuts were going to be made after the draft but before FA agency was opened up for the league, or atleast that is what happened last year and seemed to work out.

Are the "owned players list" for the MilBers up to date?

No rush, just forgetful

Fellas, the draft order still isnt right. I should be 17th, not 18th. Luis beat me in the third place game. Can someone please get back to me to confirm

Can we get the full draft order for all three rounds before we start the draft????

I'll try and put together the right draft order by this Thursday or so.

Also, on the milb players list, can people name players that are on someone's roster that isn't listed? Thanks.
